Founder and Head Instructor of The Kung Fu Studio
Sifu Damian Raad teaches Shaolin Wing Chun Kung Fu with a rare blend of depth, humor, and heart. Known for his sophisticated understanding of martial arts theory, history, and application, he shares this wisdom openly with students at all levels—from White Sash beginners to advanced practitioners.
A longtime student of Grand Master Benny Meng, he is a 4th degree Black Sash certified instructor in the Shaolin Wing Chun lineage, one of the handful of branches of Wing Chun whose authenticity is recognized by both the Southern and Northern Shaolin Temples in China.
He is also one of the few students of Grand Master Meng to be formally accepted as a disciple as recognized in the Bai Si ceremony.
Sifu Damian has studied Chinese martial arts since childhood, having trained in multiple systems, including Pai Lum Kung Fu under Master Terry McClain and Sifu Shaye McCullough and the Chi Lin system under Michael Snyder. Because of career relocations and with Grand Master Meng’s permission, he also studied Hek Ki Boen Kuntao and Hung Lung Sin Fu Faat Mun Pai under his sihing Master John Lambert before returning to training directly with Grand Master Meng.
His teaching style is engaging, fun, and flexible. He brings joy and humility into every class while maintaining a fierce commitment to real growth and authentic skill development.
Sifu Damian opposes “promotion for promotion’s sake.” Advancement in his school is earned through true understanding and embodiment of the art—not attendance cards or belt checklists.
More than just a martial arts instructor, Sifu teaches to the whole person. He helps students grow in physical strength, focus, confidence, emotional resilience, and self-awareness, always connecting the lessons on the mat to life beyond it.
In addition to running The Kung Fu Studio, Sifu Damian is a professional corporate pilot for a Fortune 100 company and a lifelong student of philosophy, psychology, and personal transformation.
He is proud to carry forward the tradition of authentic Shaolin Wing Chun and honored to guide students on their own unique martial arts journeys.
REBEKAH RESNIK
Instructor
Ms. Bekah Resnik is a certified instructor and 1st Degree Black Sash in the Shaolin Wing Chun system under the guidance of Sifu Damian Raad. She began her journey at The Kung Fu Studio in 2016, driven by a passion for excellence and personal growth.
Ms. Bekah’s dedication to the art led her to the prestigious Lohan Instructor Program in 2019, where she earned the distinction of becoming a specialized forms and combat judge in the World Shaolin Wing Chun Federation. She achieved her Black Sash and received her teaching certification, endorsed by both Grandmaster Benny Meng and Master Raad, in Fall of 2024.
Beyond martial arts, Bekah holds a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering and has a background in competitive gymnastics, volleyball, soccer, and rowing. She now runs a music school and leads classes at The Kung Fu Studio with a special passion for mentoring young students, helping kids build both physical skill and mental resilience that will serve them for life.
She is deeply committed to supporting every student’s journey at The Kung Fu Studio and takes pride in seeing her fellow martial artists grow. She continues to train under Sifu Raad, eager to refine her skills and share her knowledge with the next generation of martial artists.
Ms. Bekah regularly leads both adult and kids classes. Her steadfast commitment to guiding students through the foundational curriculum is one of the keys to student success in our community.
